ShowPro™ has been designed from the ground up to support networking two or more computers together. This is a huge advantage at larger shows because several people can perform tasks simultaneously. Several people can work together to create entries. One can be entering results and another processing statements, which results in short lines at check out, and happy exhibitors.
To network two computers together requires what is called a network crossover cable. These cables are easy to obtain and are available in lengths from six foot to 25 foot, or longer. Simply connect the network ports of the two computers with this cable. To connect more than two computers together requires a switch or hub, and standard networking cables. Connect the network port of each computer to a port on the hub.
You should use your most powerful computer as the host system. You will have to make the ShowData folder on the host computer shareable. Once you have made the physical connections, and have made ShowData folder shareable on the host computer, the only task remaining is to tell ShowPro™ on the client computers where to look for the data.
