Setting Up Windows File Sharing

In order to use Windows^Ž peer to peer networking with ShowPro you must first share the folder on the host computer where the files reside that you intend to use. The folder that you should share is the ShowPro folder which is in C:\Program Files\Argus Development.

These are the steps required to accomplish this...

On the host computer, navigate using My Computer, to Program Files\Argus Development\ShowPro
Right click on the ShowPro folder and select Properties from the pop up menu.
Click on the Sharing Tab of the Properties dialog that appears.
Click on the Shared As radio button.
Windows will probably set the share name to ShowPro, this is fine or you may set ti to something else.
Check the box Allow network users to change my files.
Click OK.

You should now be able to navigate to the shared database folder on the client computers to establish the network path. The folder that you want to point your client computers at is the ShowData folder which resides in the ShowPro folder.
