OrgPro version 6.4 new features...

A feature has been added to allow you to import people and horses that joined or renewed their membership/recording at the show. ShowPro has the ability designate a person or horse as having joined/renewed by simply checking a box. These people and horses are exported along with the results of the show. OrgPro has a tool to import this data (separately from the results) that gives you full control over the process. This is potentially a huge labor saver and is a significant step forward in the integration of ShowPro and OrgPro. This feature is enabled if you have OrgPro set to assign member and recording numbers automatically and your basis for points being awarded is other than fee per individual section.

Improvements have been made in the ability to import the USEF Electronic results format. OrgPro will now import the entire show regardless if section codes are assigned in the export. OrgPro will take a guess at what division (hunter, jumper, equitation) each class without a section code belongs in using information in the class name. Most times it will guess correctly, if OrgPro guesses incorrectly the class will be assigned to the Hunter division and you can change it manually.

There is a new member/horse search tool that is a huge improvement over the prior search tool.

If you use RSMH there is now a "Refresh Web Points" menu item on the Members and Horses menus. This function will connect to the web server and reconcile the currently selected member's or horse's show record on the web with what you have in OrgPro. If you make changes that only affect one or two horses this is the best way to get those changes published, no need any longer to upload entire shows for a small correction.

The Points System configuration tool now has a "Set Others Like This" button that allows you to configure one section and then set the configuration of other sections the same.

OrgPro now has completely configurable support for special classes such as Classics, Championships, or any other special class that you designate. The points for these special classes can be determined using different parameters than the normal section classes and/or you can apply a multiplier. If you have been using the old support for Championship, Classic, or another special class type a small amount of reconfiguration will be required, please contact me.

A screen size preference has been added to the File menu. You can now set OrgPro to either run at full screen as in the past or in a 800x600 window occupying only a portion of the screen on most systems. This is how I've been running OrgPro for years and it suddenly occurred to me others might also prefer to have OrgPro a little less "in their face".

A Printer Setup dialog box has been added to the File menu. This is particularly useful for printing to PDF using the free primoPDF (www.primopdf.com) or another PDF printer driver such as Acrobat Distiller.

The menu interface for printing, exporting, and counting members and horses has been improved.

The ability to limit the number of standings displayed on the Standings Report has been added and also to set the title of the report. For example "Year End Standings" or "Standings To Date" may be appropriate at different times.

A Class Points By Show button has been added to the Members and Horses Screens. This is particularly useful if you limit the number of shows you point to some number of best shows.

A visual glitch causing buttons to fall off the bottom of dialog boxes on some computers has been fixed. This never happened on my computers which is why it may have been allowed to happen on yours.

When you click Refresh Points on the Points Screen a progress bar will now appear. You may also see the progress bar after doing an Update Show Points since a Refresh Points is done by OrgPro afterwards if any changes were made.

Some work has been done on creating new show seasons. In particular the step where you can elect to not move inactive members/horses into the new season has been made more straightforward and less confusing.
